Makoura Lodge is a hidden gem offering tranquil, quality accommodation for groups or couples. It is a 50-minute drive from Palmerston North or 40 minutes north of Feilding en route from Wellington to Taupo.
With the option to sleep up to 59 guests and to book six modern suites, Burnside Bungalow, Glenluce Homestead, and Riverside Retreat, it is perfect for large accommodation bookings.

Lodge Accommodation Suites
Near the main Lodge are six suites consisting of two spa bath suites and four studios. Wake up to breathtaking views of the Ranges right outside your ranch slider. Sleeps 1-5 guests per suite.
Glenluce Homestead
Glenluce is the original family’s restored historic home creating a step back in time feel. With its five bedrooms, it can sleep up to 17 guests making it the perfect accommodation for families or larger groups. Pet-friendly.
Burnside Bungalow
Burnside Bungalow is a charming and recently renovated three-bedroom self-contained accommodation stay. Enjoy its claw foot bath, covered BBQ area, and cosy log fire. Sleeps 1-10 guests. Pet-friendly.
Riverside Retreat
Our Riverside Retreat is secluded and revitalising. Get-away and enjoy the sounds of native birds and the pristine river. It features an outdoor bath, firepit, and river for swimming, or cosy up in winter with its potbelly fire. Sleeps two. Pet-friendly.

Changes and cancellations to bookings made up to 21 days before the arrival date are without charge. Thereafter the deposit will be charged. The total value of the booking will be charged if changes/ cancellations are made with less than 72 hours.
15% surcharge applies to food, beverage, and activities on public holidays and the offering is subject to staffing availability.
Makoura Lodge is closed from the 24th of December to the 4th of January but will be open for self-contained stays. The main lodge/meals/activities/staff/bar will be unavailable.
Check in is from 2 pm and check out is by 10 am.
