 Makoura Lodge is your next venue for an overnight conference retreat or day conference. We are surrounded by stunning views, located one hours scenic drive into the countryside north from Palmerston North and two and a half hours from Wellington. Due to our secluded location and onsite accommodation, overnight retreats are our specialty. We can host up to 40 delegates. Your team will enjoy outstanding hospitality, delicious country cuisine and a range of team building activities making your next conference a memorable one.

Conference Rooms

At Makoura Lodge you can enjoy exclusive use* and make the entire venue your own. Choose from our spacious lodge or private upstairs McIntyre room, you can also breakout outside in our garden area.



Makoura lodge has a total of 17 rooms consisting of: 2 double roomed spa suites, 4 studio suites, a Riverside cabin, a 3 bedroom cottage and a 5 bedroom homestead. Our quality suites are located behind the main lodge and the two cottages are a 5 minute walk from the lodge.

I wanted to thank you for for hosting our group last week.
All the team had a fantastic 3 days and were so well looked after by yourself, Tess and Chris. Don’t underestimate how much effect that has on the success of the conference we were holding, and several of the the guys were commenting on ‘the best conference yet’.
