The Lodge

The Main Lodge:

Here at Makoura Lodge, we provide you with the perfect setting for your Wedding Day.

In the summer your ceremony can be held on the lawns of our Native Gardens with their stunning backdrop of our beautiful unique countryside.

In Winter, the huge open fireplace provides an ideal atmosphere for an indoor wedding.

The lounge and restaurant area provide comfortable seating for up to 120 guests and for less numbers we will design a unique area for you to share your special day with family and friends.

The McIntyre Room:

The McIntyre Room is a completely private area located upstairs from the Main Lodge.

With great views from the balcony, overlooking the native trees, the McIntyre Room is ideal for a small intimate wedding party.

It can also be utilised as a preparation room for the Bridal Party, who are using either the Main Lodge or the Gardens for their ceremony, and to keep small groups of younger family members occupied. With DVDs and a range of games available, we can also arrange for a baby-sitter to look after your younger guests.
